Javier Zanetti began his career in his home country of Argentina with Talleres and Banfield, before making a move to Inter Milan and becoming a household name in world football.


Zanetti was a versatile player, playing in defence and midfield throughout his career. He made 758 appearances for Inter Milan - the most games any player has played for the club, winning an iconic treble in 2009 - 2010 as captain, including the UEFA Champions League, and having his number 4 retired by the club. 


Currently the Inter Milan Vice President, Zanetti also played 145 times for Argentina between 1994 and 2011.
