WORLD LEGEND
Brazil

Roberto Carlos about playing in the Legends Charity Game:
“When I look back on my career, both Brazilian and European football played a defining role in shaping my style, mindset, and achievements. Lifting the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Brazil remains one of my proudest achievements, a moment that defined not just my career, but my life. At the same time, my years with clubs like Inter Milan and Real Madrid challenged me to reach my peak and refine every aspect of my game. I’m honoured to be part of the SBC Legends Charity Game in Lisbon this September, a special occasion that brings together two footballing cultures that mean the world to me. To represent Brazil again, compete against Portugal’s greatest legends, and support incredible causes through football, it’s something I’m very proud to be part of.”

About
Synonymous for his thunderous left peg, Roberto Carlos brought an abundance of attacking flair to any team he played in.
In many ways, he redefined the role of the modern full-back. Famous for his thunderous free-kicks and lung-busting runs down the flank, Carlos was a key figure for both Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team.
Starting his career in Brazil, Carlos moved to Inter Milan briefly before making his legendary switch to Real Madrid in 1996. There, he became a cornerstone of the Galácticos era, winning multiple La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles. Internationally, he was part of Brazil’s golden generation, winning the 2002 FIFA World Cup and finishing as a runner-up in 1998.
